How to for Buyers
We make things easy for buyers. Tired of searching through endless pages of ads to find what you want or to find what you found before? Not really sure what you want or need but know that you don't want to read all the ads in the paper to figure it out? Tired of that gritty newsprint feel and inky fingers? Finally there's wayMadAds, online ads that work for you.
Everyone is welcome to browse our ads, but we recommend becoming a member for added benefits, and it's free to join anyway. After you join, we recommend signing in whenever you return to fully utilize our features.
Casual Browsing
This couldn't be easier. Just click on the Buy tab above and you'll go directly to our main browse page where you'll get a quick peek at some of our featured ads and newest ads. You can also see some of these on our home page when you first come to the site.
Use the Newest Ads links along the left to see what has been recently added. Then use the main category links along the left to start your browsing. You'll then see sub-category links, followed by featured classified ads for that category, and then all regular classified ads for that category, followed by featured and regular auction ads.
Use the sub-category links to fine-tune your browsing to specific areas of interest. You'll again see further sub-category links if available, followed by featured ads, and ads for that sub-category and below. Each time you narrow your search, you'll only see ads for that area.
Specific Search
On a mission and know exactly what you are seeking? You can follow the steps above, or use the search functions to get there faster. The Quick Search is just a basic keyword search that is available at anytime from the dropdown box below the navigation bar.
Need to search by specifics? Then you'll want to use the advanced search which you can access from the Quick Search dropdown or from the Buy tab and select Search. There is also a category search feature on all of the browsing listing pages. In many cases, additional category specific questions will be added to the search form at the bottom, allowing you to fine-tune your search. Be careful though, as you can quickly narrow your search to the point of not getting results. Any ad returned in the results must mee all of your search criteria.
Found An Ad
Depending on what contact information the seller has made available, you can choose to call them or contact them through email, and some may even have linked to their own website. Then you communicate back and forth like normal. If it is an auction, then you place your bid and see what happens.
