Volunteering... we are fortunate enough to live in a community where people have a strong desire to help out and to get involved. Yet, ask any non-profit organization and they'll tell you that getting volunteers can be one of the most challenging tasks. We believe that part of the challenge can be solved by helping to bridge the gap.
People want to volunteer, but they don't know for what, what's available, what's needed, or even where to go or who to ask. Sure, you can post this information on your website, if you have one, but how many people are looking to volunteer who don't even know about your organization, your event, or your needs? We hope to provide a common area where volunteers and agencies can come together. Who knows, the next person looking for a house or looking to sell an old couch might be your next volunteer!
